ArteNOM Selección 1146 Añejo is a double‑aged gem created by Master Distiller Enrique Fonseca at Tequileña in Tequila, Jalisco. It spends at least 14 months in used Cabernet Franc barrels from France’s Loire Valley, adding deep wine‑oak notes and going well beyond the one‑year requirement for añejo. It’s then moved to toasted American white oak, once used for Canadian whisky or Tennessee rye, for another 14 months, achieving a smooth balance of rich oak and bright highland agave. The result is a rich amber tequila with aromas of butterscotch, citrus, baking spices, and vanilla, and flavors of toffee, walnut candy, custard, orange zest, and dark chocolate — a luxurious long‑aged añejo for serious collectors.
